Subaru Outback Fob Door Lock Button Not Working

You need to lock it manually to prevent the alarm from getting activated.
Subaru outback fob door lock button not working. My guess is car is correctly receiving the signal but the actuator in the door lock isn t working. It will lock or unlock with the key or the button inside. Make sure that all the doors were closed including the tailgate if any of the doors are not secure or any of the door switches are not working properly the system will not go into programming mode as well if these items are good. If it doesn t unlock i can sometimes lock all of the doors using the key s lock button and then have the left rear door unlock normally using the key lock button.
To deactivate the alarm manually the key should be at the on position and all doors should be locked with the door lock switch in the vehicle. Sometimes it does unlock using the key remote sometimes it doesn t. That is pretty certain. If this is not available the subaru should not be locked with the door lock switch.
And all fuses were checked. Use a stiff bent coat hanger type device to get in between the upper glass and the door frame holding it gingerly pried open with a wedge big screwdriver etc. Try whichever door that has the loosest window once door is opened alarm should sound. The driver s side door will not lock or unlock with the remote.
So at least i can still lock and unlock the car at first you could see the inside lock button twitch when the remote button was pushed as if it were trying to lock but couldn t. You ll have to be patient learning to push pull on the lock button to open it. It always unlocks when using the lock lever by the rear door handle. I have a 2005 subaru outback.
