The Heating Element Of An Electric Heater Glows While The Cord Does Not Glow

The heating element of an electric heater glows while the cord does not glow. The resistance of the element of an electric heater is very high. The resistance of the element of an electric heater is very high. Cord and electric heater are joined in series and carry same current when joined to voltage source. So the heater element begins to glow but cord does not glow.
But the resistance of cord which is usually of copper or aluminium is very law so it does not glow. The heating element of the heater is made up of alloy which has very high resistance so when current flows through the heating element it becomes too hot and glows red. It becomes too hot and glows red due to heating effect of current. So for the same amount of current i flowing thru the circuit the heat ir 2 is much more in heating.
The effect that it needs to provide is heat due to which more energy gets concentrated in giving the effect. As resistance of cord is extremely small as compared to that of heater element hence heat produced is extremely small in cord but much larger in heater element. Why does the cord of an electric heater not glow while the heating element does. So when current flows through the heating element.
The chord of an heating element does not glow where as for an heating element it does because in an electric heater the maximum energy is utilised in providing the heat energy due to which it does not glow.
